Race Series for Primary School and Lower Secondary School Students
Junior Running Especially for primary and lower secondary school athletes.
Safe and supervised courses
Timed races over 2, 3 and 4 kilometers
Cost is $4 or $2 for members of Townsville Road Runners
Points awarded for the first 10 races. The last run at Queens Park will be trophy presentation for the junior series.
To be eligible for the series, runners must enter a minimum of 4 races.
There will be a separate Junior cross-country winner (boy and Girl) for the 3 cross-country races.
Points per race for age group placings
1st :- 5 points
2nd :- 4 points
3rd :- 3 points
4th :- 2 points
All other placings :- 1 point
Age Groups :- Boys and Girls
9 years
10 years
11 years
12 years
13 years
14 years
15 years
16 years
17 years
SPECIAL NOTE: Ages will be taken as of the 31st December 2007, that is the age you will be turning this YEAR. If you are 12 years in March but your birthday is in July then you are in the 13 years age group.
