Townsville Road Runner Inc.

The course starts on the road in front of the Social Sciences Building and follows James Cook Drive (Ring Road) in the direction towards the back of JCU. Follow the ring road and turn right into Discovery Drive, then right onto the path before the motorway, left through the tunnel under University Road and then turn left into Sinclair Street.  Cross Yolanda Drive onto Marabou Drive.  Follow Marabou Drive and veer left onto the concrete path approximately opposite Masuda Street.  Continue on the path, turn left across the footbridge, then left after the footbridge to follow the river path to Aplins Weir.   Turn left to cross the footbridge across Ross River, left again to follow the river path to Nathan Street.   Follow the path under Nathan Street bridge and continue on the path turning left to cross a footbridge across a gully.  Continue on the river path to Arinya Street and then turn left into Moondarga Drive, left onto Ross River Road, then veer left onto the river path opposite Bamford Lane (at the traffic lights).  Turn left onto Federation Bridge, (footbridge across Ross River) then hard left on to the river path.  Follow the river path onto Rivergreen Grove, turn left onto Riverside Boulevard and veer left onto the river path at Gleesons Weir.  At the path junction (after the narrow footbridge) turn to the right and follow the path through the tunnels under Riverside Boulevard and the Motorway.  Continue straight ahead up the ramp to turn right into JCU onto Parkinson Road.  Follow Parkinson Road to then turn left into Buchan Road.  Turn right into James Cook Drive to finish in front of the Social Sciences Building.
